"My friend and I went to this place to eat dinner. Be warned it was a little tough to find. Its behind a 7/11. Don't let this deter you from trying it out though, it was great! I had the Ogbono and the Okra soups with fufu and he had the Charcoal grilled beef with doh doh. It was fantastic! The menu has pictures of everything if you're a first timer. We didn't get waited on in the traditional sense... so no one bugged us or anything we were just left alone with our food and our conversation. I'm not sure where the other reviewer ate that said there was no selection. That is one hundred percent false! Hats off to you African Village it was wonderful! ?"
" Nice people, delicious curry chicken with chapatti... would buy again".?
The char grilled chicken with doh doh (fried plantains) and veggies (sautéed turnip greens, onions and tomatoes) were extremely delicious. Doug had the grilled fish with the same sides and dug into it with gusto! The ladies inside took care ...
"The food was delicious. The menu was varied. I tried the Fish with Greens and the chopped Goat Head (for an authentic treat). The Fish was wonderfully prepared, served with greens and sweetened plantains. I was very pleased. The Goat Head was not as spicy as I expected it to be. It tasted like beef but had plenty of bone (skull?) throughout. The customer service is warm and friendly. They will try to talk you out of the spicy food, but I suggest you go for the entire experience. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend African Village.?"
